CHC Kadayiruppu
The institution started its operations in 1949 at Kadayiruppu in Aikaranad Gram Panchayat under Vadavukode Block Panchayat in Kunnathunad Taluk with the financial assistance of Nechupadam family. The then Public Health Minister Dr. E. K. Madhavan inaugurated the new OP Block. This hospital, which was completed in 1950, was the Minister of Health, Mr. A.J. John inaugurated the work. This institution, which started as a great boon to the locals in this economically, socially and economically backward area, has gradually achieved many achievements in the field of service.

On May 11, 1956, M. K. A maternity ward was opened under the name of Shankaravarier Memorial. With the facility to treat 16 people, Dr. P. K. Narayanan Nair donated the general ward to this institution. The institution has grown admirably in the following years in providing emergency services.
MLA in 1983 H. Under the chairmanship of Mustafa, Health Minister K. G. R. Kartha laid the foundation stone for the new General Ward.
In 1985, the then Chief Minister Shri. K. Karunakaran inaugurated the Indira Priyadarshini Memorial Ward. In the year 2000, Vadavukode Panchayat built and provided a doctors cottages.
This institution, which functioned as a government hospital, became a 24 × 7 PHC of the government during the financial year 2009-2010. By upgrading the list, apart from disease treatment, public health and immunization activities at the field level have been made available to the people.
This institution was upgraded to CHC in 2019 considering the operational potential of this institution.
Now the daily average is 350 OP. Patients also received 25 i.p. Patients also rely on this institution.
Currently, there are 4 OPs in this two-storey establishment. Blocks, injection room, waiting area for patients, male and female wards, x-ray room, pharmacy, lab, dental, Anyutra (Child Early Disability Intervention Center) etc.
